Nestability Frustration

I'm having some issues tonight.....but I got it figured out. I'm working on a gift basket prize for a Buck n Doe and I was trying to emboss on some cards. Of course I had the cards stamped and ready to go and the embossing was the last step. For whatever reason every time I ran the card and nestability through the big shot it was creasing the card, either a huge line down the whole card or one or two small creases under the embossed shape. I tried 3 different sandwiches to finally get one to work, and yup ruined about 4 cards. So here's the sandwich that I had the best luck with;

multipurpose platform
tab 1
1 cardstock shim
2 acrylic cutting mats
nestability
card
tan embossing mat

I guess it goes to show that you really need to play around with your big shot. So please learn from my mistakes and use some scrap cardstock to practice on before you try it on your stamped cards. I guess my gift basket is going to have a few less cards then I had planned on, but that's life.

(Sorry for no pictures my camera batteries died tonight!)

wow......talk about timing!
I just sat down to use my nestbilities and couldn't remember what I did last time. Logged on to see where you had it posted and HERE was your own Nestabilities frustration! Must run in the family? Anyway, I ruined 2 cards - changed your combo order slightly but used ALL the same and it turned out perfect!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your perfect timing!!!!
