Dasher stamp

While preparing for my last workshop I discovered that I could not get a very good stamped image with my Dasher stamp. The solution that worked for me was to take my matching Chocolate Chip marker and colour over the stamped image, but this could get quite time consuming if you're going to do more than one card. I found that other stampers have had this problem with stamps as well and there are some great solutions.

- If it is a brand new stamp it may need to be 'seasoned'.....try inking it and stamping it numerous times in a row...or try rubbing it on your jeans a few times to lightly sand the surface (others suggest rubbing it with a pencil eraser).

-Try cleaning it with Stazon....this will get rid of any residue left over from processing.

-Stamp it with Versamark a few times.

-If the stamped image is completely missing ink in the center try putting a piece of foam (craft or dollar stores sell this cheap) under your card stock before you stamp, this will give your stamp a bit of extra cushioning.

If you have tried all these and still aren't happy with the image, please contact me and I will call SU for a replacement. I'm just happy to know that my Dasher stamp is okay....once I 'season' him a bit lol.
